How to Beat the Heat, Part 1

Here’s Zip geared up for a hot summer commute into work.  We walk in from the South End, so it’s about 30 minutes at pug pace to get to the store on Newbury Street.  That’s too long without packing water, at a minimum.  Today we’re trying out the summer gear:  Ruffwear‘s Swamp Cooler Jacket, and the Kool Collar with frozen gel pack.  We’ve got them both in the store (the Kool Collars are in the freezer for immediate use) but we want to know first hand how well they work. We’ll report back with a review later.

About Kathy Palmer

I grew up in NJ and Belgium and eventually settled in Portland, ME. Until missing the big city, which inspired a return to Boston in 2010, and the opening of Fish & Bone on Newbury Street. Fish & Bone and its original sibling store Fetch (est. 2000) bring together some of the things I love the most: animals, real food, great design, having an impact, the natural world, urban life, creative solutions, good community, and a good laugh. Zip is all pug, but I'm a cultural mutt.
